SpaceClaim is looking for a qualified individual to join our team as a Pre-Sales Application Engineer. This position is responsible for providing exceptional pre-sales technical support to the SpaceClaim sales team, channel partners, marketing department and prospects to help drive sales of SpaceClaim products.

Responsibilities include:

• Daily use and expertise of SpaceClaim products for creating 3D concept models and optimizing 3D models for manufacturing and analysis.
• Conduct on-site and web based software demonstrations and training classes.
• Provide comprehensive technical and application support to SpaceClaim prospects and partners via telephone/web/email.
• On-site support of corporate accounts to help grow business initiatives
• Answer customer questions relating to SpaceClaim products, competitive products, and technical issues related to product integration within the customer’s unique environment.
• Ability to clearly articulate our products’ value and business benefits, as well as cover the technical details of our products succinctly.
• Assist in identifying customer needs and requirements to better qualify potential prospects for SpaceClaim solutions.
• Provide market feedback on product and competitive positioning to sales, marketing, and engineering.
• Creation of sales, training and marketing collateral.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
• 3 years experience using a 3D CAD system for mechanical design
• Experience as a pre-sales application engineer
• Experience with or knowledge of CAE/CAM/RP a plus
• Experience with Camtasia and/or other video creation tools a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding interpersonal and telephone skills are a must.
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to function and thrive in a team environment with an appreciation of aggressive goals
• Ability / willingness to travel a must
