  • Spaceclaim Enhancements/Problems

Quick question/observation/request for improvement 1) When using ASCDM for CFD, when one changes a parametric dimension (group), often SC recombines solids that have already been split with a plane for example. Investigation of the solids shows this re-combining to be unnecessary since the split-points...

  • Re: problem with Ansys Plugin in Add-ins Integration

Hello Jozek, To have a proper SpaceClaim-Ansys interegration, 2 main criteria have to met. 1. SpaceClaim and Ansys must be installed in the same directory (example : C:\Program Files ) 2. SpaceClaim and Ansys must be the same bit version (32bit or 64bit) Regards, Sasi SpaceClaim Support Team

  • Re: What is the difference between spaceclaim engineer and ansys spaceclaim..

I dont think there is any difference as such in terms of usability, functions and other options. As you are using ASCDM you must be knowing all these things It uses ANSYS license only while SC Engr uses its own.you ll be seeing that save ansys project save option in ASCDM incase of SCEngr its not there...

  • SpaceClaim and structural analysis

As a SpaceClaim reseller I think that one of thebetter applications of SC is as "geometry interface" between "CAD" and "FEM" (or "CFD"). In order to asnwer some costomers requests, I have two questions: Integration with Ansys works great, but I'd like to have...

  • Re: Parameter to Workbench

Roman, sure, I played a little bit with the API and I know that I can bring in the cutting-functionality directly with a SC plug inn, but I'm a scripting developer and the easiest way for me will be the scripting. Firstly I'll try to make my ut and than I'll looking to the journal file. When...

  • Re: Parameter to Workbench

Hi Roman, thanks for your answer. I had a "burl in my brain". I mean when I define parameter in SC and open WB then I must get the parameter in the parameter manager, but this is not true. I must define firstly the parameter in a simulation as parameter (with the P flag) to get the parameters...

  • Flip Surface Normal

It would be nice to have a tool to flip surface normals. Below is a pipe section that came from a solid body. I midsurfaced it and then made it into a component, topology is shared. Still the surface normals do not match. Applying loads is more tedious and viewing certain stress contours on geometry...

  • parametric enhancement request for design explorer

I realize the value of not having a parametric model, but it would be nice to be able to parameterize certain features so that DesignXplorer can be used to shape and optimize a new design. Are there any plans for this?
