SpaceClaim License Installer
Use the SpaceClaim License Installer to install or re-install your license file without downloading the SpaceClaim Installer - it's less than 2Mb as opposed to the 300+ Mb SpaceClaim Installer

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

Does SpaceClaim provide a free viewer?
Yes. If you install SpaceClaim without a license, it will act as a viewer. If you need to share models with others who do not have SpaceClaim, they can install and use the viewer freely, just send them the link from the Download tab. They may want to investigate further, in which case the trial version may be suitable.

Can SpaceClaim be used to create geometry?
Yes. Often, SpaceClaim's impressive translation capability makes it seem that you would only use it to modify existing models, but it can also be used to create geometry from scratch. The entire transaxle model from the 2007+ demonstration was created in SpaceClaim, and then components were exported to other systems to create the scenarios.

Can SpaceClaim be used in the same environment with other CAD applications?
Yes. We believe that because of the many CAD tools available, each with their own strengths, it is important to be able to use the best tool for the job, and that may not always be SpaceClaim. However, within any product development company, there are many jobs, and many people involved in the product's development, and SpaceClaim can help everyone communicate more clearly using unambiguous 3D geometry.

Can models created or modified in SpaceClaim be used in SolidWorks, ProE, Inventor or other CAD systems?
Yes. SpaceClaim treats all models purely as geometry and does not recognize or try to build features in the same way parametric, feature-based CAD systems do. Once the model is imported to SpaceClaim, it can be easily modified and exported to many formats including ACIS, Parasolid, STEP and IGES, which most other CAD systems can import. A complete list of SpaceClaim's import and export capabilities can be viewed here.
